Lyle Green is the Associate Vice President for Physician Relations at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where he is responsible for providing leadership for enhancing physician access, communications and engagement strategies. Lyle provided the initial vision for and led the design, development and implementation of the myMDAnderson physician portal, which provides MD Anderson’s referring physicians with a highly customized online referral process along with secure, web-based access to their referred patient’s medical record information. Today, over 13,000 physicians in 113 countries use the physician portal to support clinical communications and to facilitate coordination of care for their cancer patients.
Mr. Green is a Board Certified Healthcare Executive and Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and also is a Certified Professional and Fellow in the Healthcare Information Management and Systems Society. His previous healthcare experience includes clinical, operations, and information technology responsibilities.
Lyle has published and has been interviewed for many articles related to physician relationship management in healthcare. He regularly delivers presentations and webinars at national conferences such as the Forum for Healthcare Strategists, the Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development, and the American Association of Medical Colleges – Group on Institutional Advancement. He is co-chair for the 2013 World Congress Physician Liaison Summit and is a past-President of the American Association of Physician Liaisons.
