PCPCC October Webinar: Patient-Centered Best Practices

Margo Williams has over 30 years of experience in healthcare administration, ranging from hospital administration at an academic medical center, management of an outpatient oncology clinic in a cancer center, practice administration in a private specialty practice, and over 15 years working with practicing internists at ACP.  Ms. Williams advises ACP members about a variety of management issues including ownership and operations, finance, compensation, human resources, regulatory compliance, technology implementation, and more recently MACRA, PCMH, PQRS, and other alphabet-soup initiatives.  She coordinates the ACP web content related to practice management as well as educational courses for ACP’s annual meeting.  Ms. read more

Linda Shelton, MA, PCMH-CCE

Partner, Discern Health
Linda Shelton, Partner at Discern Health, has more than 30 years of experience developing programs focused on innovations in health care. She has focused particularly on the patient-centered medical home since 2001. At Discern, she leads client projects related to quality measurement and the medical home, and participates in the overall management of the firm. Her current projects include the Georgia Academy of Family Physicians’ PCMH University, the Maryland Multi-Payer PCMH Pilot, the analysis of IT vendor products for PCMH support, and a case study of how PCMHs perform well on diabetes outcomes. read more

Beth Little-Terry

Chief Executive Officer, Mountain Laurel
Ms. Little-Terry has nearly 30 years of experience in various aspects of the health care industry, including mental health and substance abuse, Medicaid administration, managed care, health care financial systems, operations and executive management.  She joined Mountain Laurel, a newly funded Community Health Center in as the Chief Operating Officer and became CEO in November 2007.  In her capacity as CEO, Ms. Little-Terry directs all aspects of federal grants management; ensures organizational compliance with all program expectations and reporting requirements; facilitates the achievement of the health center’s mission as set forth by the Board of Directors; oversees Mountain Laurel’s financial, operational and clinical performance and leads the health center’s strategic planning efforts.  Prior to joining Mountain Laurel, Ms. read more

Kim Johnston, MD

Physician and Owner, Johnston Family Medicine
Since 2000 Johnston has been the owner and a physician at Johnston Family Medicine. She also serves as the medical director at the Carroll Physician Hospital Organization in Maryland. She received her bachelor’s degree at Western Maryland College and later attended the University of Maryland Medical School.
