As an FQHC, at least 51% of Mary's Center board membership must be comprised of patients.
Additionally, Mary's Center has patient Informational and Educational committees that help to approve educational materials. Patients are surveyed and feedback is solicited in order to perform needs assessment before changes are made to operations. Mary's Center has a patient compliment/complaint phone line and webform.
Mary's Center is working on convening a patient/family advisory council.

Mary's Center has family support workers and referrals specialists on staff who help to refer patients and participants to community organizations as needed.
They have a health promotions team, comprised of peer educators who work with patients to help with healthcare education and navigation.
