As the flagship of Ohio’s public health infrastructure, the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) works with 130 local health departments to "protect and improve the health of all Ohioans."
ODH impacts Ohioans from cradle to grave – from helping provide pre-natal care, to issuing birth certificates, to providing first immunizations, to offering family planning information, to performing nursing home inspections to issuing death certificates.
Dr. Theodore “Ted” E. Wymyslo was appointed by Ohio Governor John R. Kasich to serve as the director of ODH in January, 2011. Dr.
GOBHI is a nonprofit managed behavioral health care organization serving seventeen counties in Oregon. It's board of directors is composed of people from county government, community mental health programs, addictions services and consumers. We will be adding physicians and hospital reps within the coming few months and are developing a plan to fund technical assistance to those who need additional coaching to become person centered health care homes.
Recently created in state statute, the Alaska Health Care Commission is charged with fostering the development of a statewide plan for improving quality, affordability and accessibility of health care in Alaska, and for identifying strategies for improving the health of all Alaskans.
