Evidence Report Briefing on Capitol Hill

At the briefing on Capitol Hill, hosted by the Congressional Primary Care Caucus, the Primary Care Collaborative (PCPCC) unveiled its latest report highlighting new evidence that links the patient-centered medical home (PCMH) and other forms of advanced primary care with improved outcomes, but not in every study examined.

Before joining the Fund, he served the state of Rhode Island as the country’s first health insurance commissioner, an appointment he held from March of 2005 through June of 2013. Under Mr. Koller’s leadership, the RI Office of the Health Insurance Commissioner was nationally recognized for its rate review process and its efforts to use insurance regulation to promote payment reform, primary care revitalization, and delivery system transformation. Jean Malouin, MD

Medical Director, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Value Partnerships
Dr. Jean Malouin has been the Medical Director for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Value Partnerships since 2012, and is responsible for the Patient-Centered Medical Home, Organized Systems of Care and other BCBSM initiatives. Dr. Malouin is also on the Family Medicine faculty at the University of Michigan where she maintains a clinical practice.  From 2012-2016, she served as Medical Director and Co-Project Lead for the Michigan Primary Care Transformation Project, a state-wide multi-payer PMCH demonstration project involving almost 400 Michigan PCMH-designated practices.  Dr. Malouin received her medical degree and Master of Public Health degree in Health Management and Policy from the University of Michigan.   read more
