Group Health Cooperative offers a postgraduate year one residency program in managed care pharmacy that includes a series of core of required learning experiences. The residency offers experience in population-based care such as formulary management, pharmacy benefit management, contracted network relations, medication use management strategies, medication therapy management, prior authorization, pharmacy benefit design, and medication safety.
By working within patient-centered medical home model care delivery teams, residents also have the opportunity to develop and implement clinical practice guidelines, ensure quality and safety of medication use, and create patient-specific pharmaceutical care plans.
Upon completion of the program, residents will be prepared for specific pharmacy positions such as clinical program manager, formulary, utilization management, medication therapy management, pharmacy benefits, and clinical review.

This program is accredited through the American Society of Health System Pharmacists Residency programs and the practice holds patient-centered medical home recognition from the National Committee of Quality Assurance.
