Dr. Sonny Morton is the Regional Medical Director at MinuteClinic, a Senior Consultant at LifeWings Partners, LLC, and serves as an emergency physician at various hospitals. He is a seasoned physician executive with strong interpersonal skills and a history of building and motivating high performing teams.  At MinuteClinic, he is responsible for the medical oversight function for over 100 local medical directors in 14 states, including recruiting, performance review, and quality improvement efforts. He also represents the firm to outside entities including health plans, state medical boards and health care systems. As part of this effort, he cultivates outside relationships with health systems and medical groups, and mentors nurse practitioners, local managers, and physicians. As a Senior Consultant at LifeWings Partners, LLC, he teaches crew resource management quality and safety techniques to physicians, nurses, and other members of the health care team. He serves as part of a team responsible for presenting the concept to administrators and physician leaders to gain buy-in, and regularly holds speaking engagements.  Dr. Morton holds over 24 years of experience as an emergency physician at various hospitals. He has served as the Medical Director for three emergency departments, with responsibility for quality of patient care and patient satisfaction. Serving as Medical Director, he led extensive cultural change and improved Press Ganey patient satisfaction scores dramatically.
