Charlie Gross

Charles received his formal clinical training as a Psychologist at Yeshiva University in New York City. His undergraduate training in psychology was at the University of Michigan. Charlie’s  experience with integrated delivery systems is rooted in his clinical and management work with Kaiser Permanente.  In that setting he was both a clinician  and executive within a system of care that now goes by a variety of names- ‘patient centered primary care collaborative’ (PCPCC), ‘Patient Centered Medical Home’ (PCMH), ‘Accountable Care Organization’ (ACO)- the name depending on the lens through which it is viewed.  His experience ‘practicing hallway and exam room consults’ in the Kaiser Permanente pediatric department has informed and enriched his thinking about how best to effectively and efficiently achieve the Triple Aim. Charlie is the Vice President of Clinical Programs and Behavioral Health at Amerigroup Maryland.  In that role he has  two areas of responsibility for the Medicaid population served;  overseeing the identification,  development, implementation and operation of clinical programs to address complex medical problems, and behavioral health operations. Charlie previously held a variety of executive roles with many of the largest managed care organizations, including United Health, Pacificare, and ValueOptions.
