The Seattle - Veterans Affairs (VA) Puget Sound Health Care System offers psychology training through a predoctoral internship program as well as a postdoctoral fellowship. The predoctoral psychology internship track is a four-month internship placement in a large primary care clinic providing integrated behavioral and mental health services, with corresponding educational, teaching and research components.
The psychology postdoctoral fellowship program is a year-long experience for fellows to gain advanced practice competencies in a primary care clinic setting, with emphasis on interprofessional care, telehealth, research, and program development/evaluation.
Both the predoctoral internship and the postdoctoral fellowship are embedded in programs accredited by the American Psychological Association.
