PCPCC's eHealth Special Interest Group (SIG)
December Call Rescheduled For: Tuesday, December 16, 2014, 12:00 - 1:00PM ET

Different People, Different Digital Tools, Many Strategies for Engagement
Health IT can empower individuals with the information and electronic tools necessary to be active partners in their own health, or the care of a loved one. Much progress has occurred to date, but we have yet to fully realize the potential of health IT to meaningfully and consistently engage patients and families.
On December 16, the National Partnership for Women & Families will share results from their updated national survey: Engaging Patients & Families: How Consumers Value and Use Health IT. Speakers Christine Bechtel and Erin Mackay will discuss who is using online access, how patients and consumers are using electronic access to health information, what functionalities they would like to see in the future, and why it matters. We will also examine key patient engagement strategies that can be gleaned from the survey. We hope you can join us!
