The state of New Jersey will recieve $3,000,000 to design a State Health Care Innovation Plan. The Model Design award recipients will engage a diverse group of stakeholders, including public and commercial payers, providers and consumers, to develop a State Health Care Innovation Plan.
According to the New Jersey Health Care Quality Insititute, New Jersey "will be using grant funds to implement the Health New Jersey 2020 plan, implement an incentive program to help pregnant mothers quit cigarettes, create a work group to recommend new delivery system reforms, and most importantly to our work, support the Medicaid Accountable Care Organization (ACO) Demonstration Project. Rutgers University is the designated lead on the SIM and will be receiving the funds and coordinating all grant activities."
