The Health Equity Network of the Americas (HENA) is a vibrant, intersectoral community that seeks to Collaborate, Build Power, and Take Action. Its membership of health equity leaders from 26 nations in the Americas and the Caribbean represent civil society, government, and academia. Through sharing knowledge and action, HENA takes a multi-pronged approach that brings to light policies and programming that have positive impact on health equity and human rights in the Americas.
HENA focuses its energy on research, policy, communications, and advocacy work.
Founded in 1935, Guilin Medical University (GLMU) has grown into an “Excellent University” recognized by the Ministry of Education in China. GLMU has twenty secondary colleges and departments, as well as six affiliated hospitals. Its primary focus is in educating undergraduate and graduate students. It also enrolls international students from Southeast Asia for undergraduate and graduate programs. The total number of faculty and medical personnel is more than 4,000, including near 1000 full-time teachers, more than 200 professors, and more than 500 associate professors.
The Michigan Southeast Regional AHEC, through partnership with Host Site Covenant Community Care, connects Students to Careers, Professionals to Communities, and Communities to Better Health. We are focused on building, developing, and enhancing a healthcare workforce that can respond to the complex needs of our region.
