Join Mental Health America (MHA)'s Regional Policy Council (RPC) for a discussion of policy changes that are helping people access telementalhealth services.
After months of social distancing, MHA’s national data reflects a tremendous increase in the number of youth and adults taking a screening; screening positively and more severely; experiencing loneliness and isolation and having recurring thoughts of suicide or self-harm. During the time of COVID-19, getting in-person help may not be a desirable option. Fortunately, recent expansion of telehealth coverage and services has allowed more people to receive mental health support where they feel safe, at home.
