CareZooming Roundtable: Delivering Effective Primary Care in the Context of COVID

Partners Healthcare (Brigham and Women's Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital)

Thursday Aug 27, 2020 12:00 pm to 01:00 pm EDT
United States

COVID has significantly changed the way we deliver care. As the pandemic reaches a plateau, clinics are attempting to adapt to a new era of provision of combined virtual and in-person care while bearing in mind COVID-related risks. In addition to presenting operational challenges, this model presents challenges for team-based care and care of vulnerable populations. We share strategies employed by Dr. Hannah Jackson (Assistant Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer of Ambulatory Care at NYC Health + Hospitals) and Dr. James Jerzak (Physician Lead of Team Based Care at Bellin Health).

After hearing from our experts, participants will have the opportunity to engage in a roundtable discussion with other clinicians from across the country. Attendees will be able to share their successes, challenges, and questions. Topics discussed will include workflow protocols for seeing both COVID and non-COVID patients, leveraging virtual care alongside in-person care, effectively caring for vulnerable populations, and continued promotion of team-based ambulatory care in the time of COVID.
