The 2019 Colorado Opioid Safety Summit will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2019, at the Denver Marriott South at Park Meadows.
Colorado Hospital Association (CHA), in partnership with the Colorado Department of Human Services, Office of Behavioral Health (OBH), is proud to host the second Colorado Opioid Safety Summit. This Summit will bring together a broad range of experts to increase participant knowledge of the state of Colorado's opioid epidemic and progress in opioid use disorder (OUD) prevention, treatment, recovery and harm reduction. This includes preliminary results from the ED medication-assisted treatment (MAT) hospital emergency department pilot; an update on the Colorado Alternatives to Opioids (ALTO) Project; information about opportunities with the OBH Colorado Opioid State Targeted Response (STR) and State Opioid Response (SOR) grants; and other real solutions being implemented both locally and nationally to combat the opioid crisis.
Participants will learn about resources and potential engagement opportunities with CHA and OBH that can enhance OUD prevention, treatment, recovery and harm reduction efforts.
