Healthy People 2030 has a variety of resources to help individuals, organizations, and communities committed to eliminating health disparities and advancing health equity.
Healthy People, an initiative of the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, identifies public health priorities to help individuals, organizations, and communities across the United States improve health and well-being. Healthy People 2030, the initiative’s fifth iteration, builds on knowledge gained over the first four decades.

You can check out the definitions for “health equity” and “health disparities” and read the recent environmental scan on how health equity and health disparities are defined and communicated within the field of public health. In addition, the initiative has created a new graphic that highlights all the ways you can leverage Healthy People 2030 to advance health equity — “the attainment of the highest level of health for all people.” Also learn more about key concepts closely tied to health equity, including health literacy and social determinants of health.
