Anthem Reports Earnings Growth, Raises Outlook

Anthem Inc.’s earnings climbed in the third quarter and the health insurer boosted its earnings guidance for the year.

The company reported net income of $960 million, up 29% from the comparable quarter a year ago. Anthem said per-share earnings were $3.62, up from $2.80. Analysts polled by Refinitiv were expecting earnings of $3.50 a share.
