Madeleine Konig

Madeleine Konig is a Senior Policy Analyst in the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s (AHA/ASA’s) Public Advocacy office in Washington, DC.   In this role, she is responsible for translating the AHA/ASA’s scientific research findings into policy statements and position papers that guide local, state and federal advocacy efforts.  She leads a policy portfolio including health information technology (HIT), quality improvement, systems of care, delivery and payment system reform, palliative care, drug and pharmacy, and workforce development. Prior to joining the American Heart Association, Madeleine worked at Aetna as a Senior Manager in Government Affairs and before that, served as a Program Analyst at the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) in the Department of Health and Human Services.  Madeleine also previously worked at Avalere Health, a strategic advisory firm, as a Manager in the Evidence-Based Medicine and HIT practice.

 Madeleine holds an MPH is Health Policy and Management from the University of Michigan and a BA, with distinction, from the University of Pennsylvania.
