The Center for Primary Care and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine invite you to participate in a one-day interactive workshop focused on novel approaches to forge change in healthcare. This is an opportunity to learn the design-thinking framework and apply it to solve complex challenges. Discover how one start-up applied design thinking to its product development process to help thousands of patients. Learn about building venture capital funds at medical school to drive primary care change. Leave this workshop with a deeper understanding of human-centered design and novel approaches necessary to transform healthcare!
 

What You Will Gain
Through this workshop you will:

  • Learn the framework for design thinking and how to use it as a device for iteration and empowerment
  • Acquire tools to gain empathy, effectively frame the challenge, and for concept creation and prototype. 
  • Use a Harvard Business School-style case study to analyze how a company leveraged design-thinking to deliver an effective product for patients 
  • Participate in highly interactive, hands-on exercises
