Speaker Spotlight
Kevin Grumbach, MD, Chair, Family and Community Medicine Department, UCSF School of Medicine, is well-known for his research on primary care innovations and the medical home. Dr. Grumbach will deliver the closing keynote, "Health Care's Transition to a Team Sport: Overcoming the Barriers."
John Jenrette, MD, is CEO of the Sharp Community Medical Group, an association of private-practice primary-care physicians and specialists. Dr. Jenrette will moderate the panel, "Against the Odds: What Challenges Lie Ahead that Will Throw Us Off Course."
T.R. Reid, author, reporter for the Washington Post, and documentary film correspondent, directed the documentary "Sick Around the World." T.R. Reid will deliver the opening keynote, "Good News, Bad News: The Future Directions of U.S. Health Care."
Beverley H. Johnson is the President and CEO of the Institute for Patient and Family-Centered Care and has published widely on the topic of patient and family-centered care. Ms. Johnson will participate in our workshop titled "To Be Truly Patient-Centered, Shouldn't We Involve Our Patients?"
