Integra employees get their own primary care clinic

Integra wants to ensure that employees at its corporate headquarters in Vancouver have convenient access to primary care doctors.

So the telecommunications firm is partnering with Paladina Health on an employee health clinic on Southeast 164th Avenue, a mile from Integra's offices. As of the grand opening today, 375 employees and family members have enrolled to receive services at the clinic of the 1,000 who are eligible. All services are covered at no additional cost, with no copays or coinsurance.

The Vancouver clinic will provide a full range of primary care services, from preventive care to chronic condition management to family medicine to urgent care.

The clinic has two doctors and two medical assistants. They also offer round-the-clock access to the doctors via email and phone, said Amit Shah, Paladina's market leader for the western U.S.

Integra is paying a "capitated" fee — in other words, a flat rate for the group, as opposed to a fee for each service performed.
