Meaningful Consumer Engagement: Training the Consumer
This webinar, the third in our series, is intended for providers, health care professionals, health plan representatives, consumers, and advocates seeking to ensure that the voices of older adults, persons with disabilities, and their caregivers are heard in the design, implementation, and oversight of state demonstrations to improve and integrate care for Medicare-Medicaid enrollees. This is an optional resource and is not required.
William Dean (Moderator) from Community Catalyst will lead a discussion in which Erin McGaffigan, PhD, MSW, MS, an expert in consumer engagement and training, will present on the approaches, tools and training content needed as consumers join their health care delivery system’s consumer advisory committee. In addition, Althea McLuckie, a consumer with extensive experience participating on an advisory committee, will share personal insights into the training and operating guidelines used to support and empower its consumer advisors.
