Kaiser Permanente Colorado offers a post-graduate year 2 (PGY2) residency program in ambulatory care pharmacy. This program provides residents the opportunity to acquire advanced knowledge and skills in ambulatory care within an integrated delivery system. Upon completion of the program, graduates will be prepared to practice as a clinical pharmacy specialist across a variety of ambulatory care settings. The program includes both core and elective ambulatory experiences through rotations and longitudinal learning. Residents can customize their program with specialty track experiences in cardiology, palliative care, and population management. Through this program, residents collaborate with a research team of clinical scholars and complete a publishable research project. Other highlights include the use of robust electronic medical records to enhance patient care delivery and exposure to population management strategies.
