Hosted by the NRHI Support and Alignment Network
Thursday Mar 23, 2017 02:00 pm to 03:00 pm EDT
United States
Passed in April 2015, MACRA is one of the most significant pieces of healthcare-related federal legislation that we've seen in at least a decade. It holds enormous transformative potential for payment reform efforts, but it's also complex to understand and put into practice.
The Network for Regional Healthcare Improvement Navigating Payment Reform series will provide Practice Transformation Networks and their providers with information on Quality Payment Program (QPP) requirements and national and regional perspectives on preparing to succeed in value based-care environments.
In the second module in this series, Maine Quality Counts (Northern New England PTN) team members Lisa Tuttle and Kellie Slate Vitcavage, along with several of their community partners, will walk through the MIPS Improvement Activity category and how clinicians can leverage their current activities to meet these reporting requirements.
Learning objectives for this module include:
Understanding the basics of MIPS Improvement Activities, particularly for the 2017 transition year, and how easy it is for clinicians to succeed in meeting scoring requirements for this MIPS performance category.
Understanding the basics of the new Patient and Family Engagement measures that will be required for all TCPi members to make progress on by the summer of 2017 and how these measures support high performance under MIPS; tools to support Improvement Activities for these measures will be highlighted.
Hearing two specific examples of Improvement Activities from members of the NNE-PTN, including understanding direct improvements to clinical care and patient outcomes as a result of focused improvement work.
This module is appropriate for PTNS, SANs, Quality Improvement Advisers, practice staff, clinicians, and others focusing on continuous, data-driven quality improvement and sustainable business operations.
