Join us for the webinar “Primary Care Measurement: What’s Working and What’s Not” as Rebecca Etz, PhD, Associate Professor, Family Medicine and Population Health and Co-Director, The Larry A. Green Center, Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine and Amir Qaseem, MD, PhD, Vice President, Clinical Policy, American College of Physicians, discuss the pros and cons of the person-centered primary care measure and how it can be utilized to assesses the aspects of care thought to represent high-value primary care by patients, clinicians, and payers.

We will also hear from Jay Lee, MD, Director of Primary Care, CareMore who will discuss what the measure means for him and his patients.

Amir Qaseem, MD, PhD, MHA, MRCP(London), FACP

Vice President, Clinical Policy and Center for Evidence Reviews, American College of Physicians

Dr. Qaseem is trained as a physician, health economist, methodologist, clinical epidemiologist, business administrator, and a leader. He is responsible for leading the American College of Physicians' evidence-based medicine and clinical practice guidelines program, oldest program in the United States, including writing of the clinical guidelines, and overseeing the College’s Clinical Guidelines Committee. Dr. Qaseem also leads ACP's performance measurement program and is responsible for ACP’s Performance Measurement Committee. He directs ACP’s high value care Initiative evaluating and publishing the benefits, harms, and costs of various overused, misused, and underused diagnostic tests and therapeutic interventions. Rebecca Etz, PhD, is a cultural anthropologist at Virginia Commonwealth University with expertise in qualitative research methods and design, primary care measures, practice transformation, and engaging stakeholders. She has spent the last ten years dedicated to learning the heart and soul of primary care.
