Disseminating health research is an art
Advances in healthcare save lives – but not if no one hears about them.
The most recent National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) found that the obesity rate among children ages 2-19 was 18.5%. This is triple the rate found in the 1976-1980 NHANES survey. While the rise in childhood obesity rates has slowed in recent years, it remains a major health concern in the United States. Clinicians, caregivers, and patients work together to create care plans that addresses the child’s health concerns, but reaching and maintaining a healthy weight remains elusive for many.
Luckily, researchers are working every day toward finding new or improved ways to help us live healthier lives
