Many consumers who participate in the Affordable Care Act’s (ACA) insurance plans are finding that, while premiums are up, they are not able to receive primary care before they meet the deductibles.
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation is dedicated to helping people with health insurance and health care. Kathy Hempstead of the Foundation has recently completed an analysis of participation in the ACA showing that as prices for the silver plan rose, people are switching to the less costly bronze plans. She explained that while there are five levels of ACA insurance, the bronze, silver and gold plans are the most accessible.
