Katherine Brieger, MA, RD, CDE, has been associated with HRHCare for over 28 years and is currently the Chief of Patient Experience and Staff Development. HRHCare is a network of 28 Federally Qualified Health Centers located in ten counties of New York State. Ms. Brieger is responsible for all programming, training and the evaluation of patient experience. As one of the leading quality metrics for HRHCare, Ms. Brieger is actively engaged in performance improvement. All of these efforts are directed under the Planetree Institute-HRHCare. HRHCare has been affiliated with Planetree for twenty years. The organization is committed to patient centered care and designing programs which enhance the patient experience. Ms. Brieger has focused on patient involvement with the quality improvement process for HRHCare, including cycle time studies and in having patients present workshops for staff.
She is the Chair of the BOD of the Association of Clinicians for the Underserved, has served a three year term on the National Advisory Council on Maternal, Infant and Fetal Nutrition. She served as a faculty member of the National Health Disparities Collaboratives (HDC) which was organized through HRSA and IHI, from 2000-2009.
