President, Milbank Memorial Fund
Christopher Koller is president of the Milbank Memorial Fund. The Fund is a 114 year operating foundation that improves population health by connecting leaders with the best information and experience. Before joining the Fund, he served the state of Rhode Island as the country’s first health insurance commissioner, an appointment he held from March of 2005 through June of 2013. Under Mr. Koller’s leadership, the RI Office of the Health Insurance Commissioner was nationally recognized for its rate review process and its efforts to use insurance regulation to promote payment reform, primary care revitalization, and delivery system transformation. Vice President, Health Care Delivery System Reform Program, The Commonwealth Fund
Melinda K. Abrams, M.S., is Vice President of the Commonwealth Fund's Health Care Delivery System Reform Program. Since joining the Commonwealth Fund in 1997, Ms. Abrams has worked on the Task Force on Academic Health Centers, Commission on Women's Health, and most recently, the Child Development and Preventive Care programs. She played a lead role in conceptualizing and launching the Fund's Assuring Better Child Health and Development (ABCD) initiative, which awarded grants to state Medicaid programs to encourage innovation in the financing and delivery of preventive and developmental services provided to low-income, young children. Chief Health Equity Officer and Senior Vice President, Humana, Inc.
Dr. Nwando Olayiwola is the inaugural Chief Health Equity Officer and Senior Vice President of Humana, Inc., a role she commenced in April 2021. Prior to this, she served as the Professor and Chair of the Department of Family Medicine and Chief of Family Health Services at The Ohio State University, where she also founded the Center for Primary Care Innovation and Transformation. She is an internationally renowned board-certified family physician, public health professional, health systems redesign leader, workforce diversity and inclusion champion and primary care transformation pioneer. PCPCC Annual Report Briefing
On January 14th, the PCPCC will partner with the The Brookings Institution and the Milbank Memorial Fund to host: The Future of the Patient-‐Centered Medical Home and its Role in the Health Care System. The briefing will be held from 8:30 – 11:30 AM at The Brookings Institution’s Saul/Zilkha Auditorium in Washington, DC (1775 Massachusetts Avenue Northwest). The briefing will highlight key findings from the PCPCC’s forthcoming annual report, which will be available electronically and in hard copy on January 14th. This annual publication, supported by the Milbank Memorial Fund, provides a showcase of 20 peer-‐reviewed and industry-‐generated studies over the past year that provide evidence supporting the PCMH's impact on health care costs, quality, and outcomes.
